Flea, Tick and Worming Treatments for Dogs
Do I need to treat my dog for fleas, ticks and worms?
Yep. It’s that simple. Fleas, worms and other parasites are more than just a nuisance for your dog – they can seriously harm your dog’s health if left untreated. They can even be passed on to you and your family. Ugh! It’s really important to treat your dog regularly for fleas and other parasites. Luckily, we've got everything you need...What kind of flea, tick and worming treatments are available?
When you’re trying to choose the right parasite treatment for your dog, there are three main types to consider...Topical or spot-on treatments are applied directly to your dog’s skin, on the back of the neck. They’re a breeze to use, but you need to make sure that other pets or your kids don’t come into contact with your dog and get flea treatment on themselves.
Chews and tablets are another option – some are flavoured, and can just be fed to your dog as a treat, or you can squish it up in their food. Some dogs don’t like the taste, and won’t fall for the old wrap-it-up-in-food trick.
We also stock flea collars for dogs. While many flea and tick treatments need to be repeated every month, collars are a long-term option that releases small amounts of flea and tick treatment slowly.
